Engine is cold
Engine temperature too high or too low while traveling. Check coolant level, radiator cap, temperature sensor, and thermostat.

Engine coolant temperature below normal operating temperatures

Engine stays cool too long (bad thermostat or coolant sensor?)

Low engine temperature, possible thermostat fault.
